Ventura author, John Darling, speaks with George Alger about past Ventura resident, Erle Stanley Gardner.

Darling describes Gardner as “one of the most prolific writers of all time.” Gardner is best known for his Perry Mason series of detective stories. He also wrote numerous other novels and shorter pieces as well as a series of nonfiction books. Darling proposes the creation and public display of an Erle Stanley Gardner statue in Ventura.
