Ventura community service advocate, Helen Yunker, discusses her work with Our Ventura host, Camille Harris.
For her support of various donor programs administered by the Ventura County Community Foundation, the Helen M. Yunker Collection for Non-profit Research and Development Library has been named in her honor. Other non-profit institutions that have benefited from Helen’s generosity include the Boys’ and Girls’ Club of Ventura, the Children’s Heart Program at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Los Angeles, the YMCA of Ventura and Santa Barbara County, and Mary Health of the Sick Convalescent Hospital in Newbury Park. Helen is an enthusiastic supporter of the Rubicon Theatre Company, which has named its performance hall after Helen in gratitude for her ongoing support.
