The Homeless to Home, or H2H program, is a collaboration of The Salvation Army, Project Understanding, and Turning Point Foundation.
Providing a Hand Up, Not a Hand Out.
Helping the homeless get back on their feet is instrumental to leading them to a happy and healthy life. Project Understanding is structured to help people in need make it through tough times by assisting with Food, Housing and Tutoring. Empowering the homeless to be self-sufficient can be achieved with focus, work and understanding.
Case managers will will focus on building relationships and supporting chronically homeless individuals who have historically either used traditional placed based services and continued to remain homeless or who have not used placed based services, and assess them for physical and mental health, financial resources, personal goals, and friends/family support. The ultimate goal is to find appropriate housing for each client.
