Nancy Schram, Director of the Ventura County library system, speaks with Sandra Siepak.
She discusses the 12 libraries in the county with over 450,000 print items.
Schram notes that the library mission to provide access to information has never changed. However, modern libraries, such as the Ventura County library system, offer more.
Some of the library services highlighted in the discussion include an adult literacy program, early childhood literacy program, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) and maker programs, as well as access to technology including computers and wifi.
