Judy Devine, Recreation Manager with the City of Ventura, discusses local recreation opportunities with Our Ventura host, Ed Wehan.

Judy talks about the Ventura Aquatic Center at the Ventura Community Park, which include swim lessons, water exercise, youth programs, swim teams, synchronized swimming, diving, laps swim, water slides. The Buena Swim Club and the Ventura College Swim Club use the facilities. In addition to the aquatics center, Ventura’s Community Park also features soccer fields and softball, as well as walking, running and bicycling.

Westpark Community Center has soccer, after-school programs, an art room, computer room, teen center, dancing, and partners with Program Enrichment for After-school Kids (PEAK) and the Ventura Police Activities League (Ventura PAL), which promotes involvement between the youth, the police, and the citizens of the City of Ventura by providing meaningful programs in the areas of sports, academics, education, and recreation enrichment and much more.
