On Thursday, September 19, 2013, Community Access Partners of San Buenaventura (CAPS) presented their 2013 annual Cappie Awards honoring excellence in community television.
The winner in the Arts, Culture & Music category is The Riley Real Network,
Episode 5, Eddie (Riley Real) Abbott, Producer.
The Civic & Community winner is Our Ventura, The Face of Ventura, George Alger, Producer.
The Informational & Educational award went to The Ventura County Chronicles: St. Francis Dam Disaster, Mike and Barb Natalizio, Producers.
The winner in the Inspirational & Spiritual categories went to Frank Souza and his Franks Pieces – End of Day piece. He shared the award with Kathleen Good who won for A Conversation with Uncle Chic.
Maryann Ridini Spencer took the Variety & Other award for her Simply Delicious Living July 2013 piece.
The Education & Government award for the best show on VTV Channel 15 was VC Pirate Soup, Welding and Manufacturing with Celine Park, producer.
