4-H is a U.S.-based network of youth organizations whose mission is “engaging youth to reach their fullest potential while advancing the field of youth development”.
In this segment of Our Ventura TV, Claire Boone, Shelby Wright and Adler Striegel speak with George Alger about 4-H in Ventura County.
4-H stands for “Head, Heart, Hands, and Health.” At 4-H club meetings and other 4-H events, members recite the Pledge of Allegiance, as well as the 4-H Pledge, which Claire, Shelby and Adler recite in this program: “I pledge my Head to clearer thinking, my Heart to greater loyalty, my Hands to larger service, and my Health to better living, for my club, my community, my country, and my world.”
