Javier La Fianza speaks with Sandra Siepak about the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) nonprofit organization.

Their organization has a mission “to inspire and prepare future young leaders for a life dedicated to leadership, service, and innovation. HOBY empowers young people to dream big, make an impact, and change the world. Our leadership programs are designed to prepare students to turn their ideas and goals into reality.”

Founded in 1958 by American actor Hugh O’Brian, the first youth leadership seminar was held in Los Angeles, California, and was held once a year until 1967. Since then, the HOBY program has spread to over 70 locations in all fifty U.S. states, and 19 countries and regions.
