The Ojai Art Center Theater Branch has been in operation since 1939 and annually presents a variety of dramatic productions, ranging from comedy to drama and musicals.

In this interview, Theater Chairman, Bill Spellman, speaks with Our Ventura TV host, George Alger, about the theater’s history, their selection of plays, volunteer opportunities, as well as the Ojai Art Center in general.

The branch has its own directors and monthly meetings to address all theater-related issues. A play-reading committee annually screens proposals for future productions and presents a tentative schedule for approval first by the Theater Branch and then the Center’s Board of Directors.
