Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County

Jill Shaffer speaks with Sandra Siepak about Habitat for Humanity in Ventura County.

The local organization desires a county where everyone has a safe, decent place to live. They build and sell affordable homes, provide low-cost home repairs, offer financial education, and advocate for policies that create more housing for struggling families.

With the help of partners they help working families realize the dream of homeownership.

The local organization is a part of Habitat for Humanity International, which is a non-governmental, nonprofit organization, founded in 1976, by Linda and Millard Fuller.

The international organization has been devoted to building “simple, decent, and affordable” housing, a self-described “Christian housing ministry,” and has addressed the issues of poverty housing all over the world.

The international operational headquarters are located in Americus, Georgia, United States, with the administrative headquarters located in Atlanta.
