The Color Run – Ventura, CA (78sec)
This year’s Color Run was held on October 17, 2015 in downtown Ventura. The Color Run is an International event series and 5K “paint race.” The untimed event has no official winners and the runners are showered with colored powder, made of food-grade corn starch, at stations along the run, leaving runners covered in a rainbow of colors.

California Coach of the Year
Tyree Cruz was voted California’s 2014 Boys Coach of the Year for cross country runners and he was also recognized as the Ventura County Coach of the Year.

The Color Run, Ventura (60 sec)
Today’s 5K Color Run took children and adult crowds from the Ventura County Fairgrounds, down main street and back to the fairgrounds for music and dancing. The participants ran through several inflatable “rainbows” while getting covered in colored dyes.

Mike Barber, founder of the Santa to the Sea 1/2 marathon and other charity events, talks about the nonprofit activities as well as the history of the big Santa Claus that is visible in Oxnard, CA, off Highway 101. (The Santa statue was built in 1948 and visible in Carpinteria until 2003 when it moved to Oxnard).
