Executive Director, Jim Duran, speaks about The City Center with George Alger. The City Center offers transitional living housing to homeless who have children, with a goal of transitioning each client out within 6 to 24 months.
The City Center counseling and support services are critical to create a path towards self sufficiency.
The City Center was opened in 2010, and was originally known as The Kingdom Center. Later, recognizing the history of the location and the importance of community support, the center was renamed The City Center, referring back to the original name of The City Center Motel.
The City Center is a privately funded nonprofit.
