Dennis Murphy speaks with Sandra Siepak about the Gold Coast Veterans Foundation, in Ventura County, which was founded in 2006.
Their services are available to the 45,000 veterans in Ventura County. They focus on veterans who fall through the cracks, including homeless veterans.
Murphy speaks about Army veteran Rafael Stoneman (aka “Papa”), as well as his friendly service dog, Leo. The pair have been helping and interacting with both homeless and home-bound veterans.
Murphy also discusses the impact their group has made during the pandemic and their plans for a veterans’ village.
