Greg Cooper speaks with Bob Taylor about the Humane Society of Ventura County.

Founded in 1932, the Humane Society of Ventura County, has been servicing not just the animals of the Ojai area, but all of Ventura County.

Over the years, the shelter has helped tens of thousands of animals through the many services and programs available to the public.

While most are familiar with their shelter and adoption center, less is known of the low cost spay and neuter clinic, Humane Officers who investigate cases of neglect and abuse throughout the county, and the Humane Education programs that focus on responsible pet ownership.

These services are made possible by the support of the very community it serves. Whether it is through donations, adoptions, or the multitude of people who volunteer their time, the shelter exists solely by the generosity and kindness of its supporters.
