Re-Discovering the Ventura Harbor Village

Jennifer Talt-Lundin speaks with Our Ventura TV host, Marlyss Auster, about the Ventura Harbor and the Ventura Harbor Village.

Ventura Harbor is one of the largest market squid offloading harbors on the West Coast. These squid catches are sold to buyers around the world, including China and India. In fact, Ventura Harbor (along with Oxnard and Port Hueneme combined) is named as one of the top 10 fish offloading harbors in the United States.

Jennifer touches on some of the new businesses in Ventura Harbor, including the Barefoot Boutique, a clothing and jewelry store; the Green Room, a sports bar and lounge that is part of the Comedy Club; the 805 Bar & Grilled Cheese; and Coffee Dock & Post; as well as some of the veteran attractions that include the Island Packers and the Ventura Yacht Club. She also talks about the new electric car charging stations, a food waste program, the Harbor Cove Beach, whale watching and the free trolley that rides between Downtown Ventura and the Harbor.
