Ken Leandro speaks with Our Ventura TV host, MB Hanrahan, about the Ventura Rotary “Perspectives on Peace” scholarship program.
The scholarship is an art contest for graduating high school seniors in the Ventura Unified School District.
Students are asked to create a unique piece of art that expresses what peace means to them. The scholarship awards $10,000 annually, with a grand prize of $5,000. All forms of art are accepted, including sculpture, dance, video, song, painting, and mixed media.
The program aims to give young artists an opportunity to think deeply about peace and express themselves.
