Today was the grand opening of new art for Ventura’s bike racks and bus shelters. The event was held at California Street Park on the corner of Santa Clara Street.

Rachel Shur is a two-time cancer survivor who was diagnosed in 2006 and 2007 with terminal leukemia. In this interview she talks about the United Cancer Advocacy Action Network (ucaan.org) that she founded in 2009 to aid cancer survivors/patients after diagnosis. Part of her philosophy is “attitude is everything” in regards to surviving cancer and finding some way to laugh about it.
