Nutrition and Wellness with Cynthia Norton

Health expert, Cynthia Norton, speaks with Our Ventura TV host, June Noakes about nutrition and wellness.

Diseases, such as obesity and diabetes have been becoming more prevalent. Nutrition is a way to reverse that trend.

Cynthia believes that 80% of her personal health is based upon nutrition.

She also believes that full health is more than nutrition and includes exercise and being kind to self: emphasizing care for body, mind and soul.

She advocates for adding more organic, local vegetables and fruit to your diet instead of processed foods.

She suggests cutting out corn and soy unless they are organic, because they are genetically modified.

Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) have been altered using genetic engineering techniques, but there are not enough tests to determine the long-term effects on bodies.

Cynthia recommends Vitamin C, probiotics and dark green vegetables as simple options to improve personal nutrition.
