The Ventura County Coalition of Labor, Agriculture and Business

Lynn Gray Jensen is Executive Director of the Ventura County Coalition of Labor, Agriculture and Business (CoLAB), which was started in 2010. In this interview with Our Ventura TV host, Sandra Siepak, Jensen discusses the mission and activities of CoLAB.

The mission of CoLAB is to “preserve and support a healthy and expanding economic base, promoting a positive image for labor, agriculture and business to enhance Ventura County’s economic vitality while protecting the local quality of life.”

CoLAB Ventura County provides a funded, full-time presence in Ventura County to balance environmental, regulatory and economic concerns.

The nonprofit is funded via members and has grown to 400 businesses in Ventura County. CoLAB was founded in response to a number of pending regulations threatening agricultural and other businesses in Ventura County.

Jensen states they are trying to ensure adequate jobs in the county and that we need reasonable business regulations to support businesses and jobs in Ventura County.

CoLab is a 501(c)6 non-profit membership organization formed to support land based and industrial businesses including farming, ranching, oil, mining, service and support.

There is also a 501(c)3 Colab foundation for donations.
